The Indonesia president Susilo, made a speech in the opening conference of ASEAN Furum in July 19 that the Indonesia expects to see the improvement in the disputes of South China Sea and appeal to all relative the countries to formulate a principle of conduct in these area as soon as possible.
But AFP thought the most obstacle part of the movement was the divergence between China and the ASEAN, the former want to negotiate bilaterally and denied to internationalize the issues but the latter prefer to talk as a whole group.
When asked if there are possibilities to Philippine, Vietnam and other countries, the Prime Minister of Indonesia replied that the relative countries have some overlap part in the dispute areas so they manipulate some movements. And he also affirmed that the strength of ASEAN would be increased as long as the United Nations could solve these disputes.
