Spain is reportedly set to recognise Palestine statehood by July this year.
The comments were made by Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez while on a Middle East tour amid the war in the Gaza strip.
Reuters reported that Sanchez believed there would soon be a critical mass within the European Union to push several member states to adopt the same position.
