Vice Premier Li Keqiang pledged on Wednesday to boost party-to-party exchanges with the Republic of Korea (ROK).

While meeting with visiting Deputy Speaker of the ROK National Assembly Hong Jae-hyong, Li said the Communist Party of China (CPC) attaches great importance to its exchanges with the political parties of the ROK and is ready to further expand exchanges and share the CPC’s experience in governing with those parties.

Hong, who is leading a delegation of assembly members from several ROK political parties, said his country expects to promote the stable growth of ROK-China relations through increased party-to-party exchanges.

Li hailed the sound developmental momentum of bilateral ties, citing frequent high-level exchanges, enhanced political trust, trade cooperation and cultural exchanges.

The vice premier called on both countries to take next year’s 20th anniversary of China-ROK diplomatic ties as an opportunity to boost bilateral cooperation, enhance coordination in regional and global affairs and boost bilateral relations to a higher level.

The ROK delegation is visiting China at the invitation of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
