I just ran a search of the NewsBank database for what the database purports to be 3,253 U.S.-based media sources for the period March 3 – 7, 2014.
My search parameters were: sniper* and (Ashton or Paet or Estonia*).
Obviously, I’m interested in learning which U.S.-based media (non-blogs) have mentioned the story that came out on March 5 about a YouTube audio of the leaked recorded phone conversation between EU foreign policy chief CatherineAshton and the Estonia minister of foreign affairs Urmas Paet in which Paet told Ashton: “There is now a stronger and stronger understanding (in Kiev) that behind the snipers, it was not [ousted president Viktor] Yanukovich, but it was somebody from the new coalition.” [1]

NewsBank was able to find a total of eight items in the U.S.-based media that mentioned this revelation. A stunning example not only of non-coverage of an important revelation (the truth of which requires verification, of course). But ofsuppression of an important revelation, plain and simple.

Is hacked phone call of Ukraine sniper attacks evidence of exopolitics conflict? – A hacked phone call between the Estonian Foreign Minister and EU Foreign Affairs chief, Catherine Ashton, reveals that snipers responsible for the death of protesters were not from the deposed Ukrainian government. The hacked phone call was made available to the RT news service and today was the subject of a number of news reports. The hacked call reveals that the snipers targeted both protesters and police. According to the call, there was a need to investigate, but there was no incentive among the new Euromaidan approved Ukrainian transition government to do so. The hacked call reveals that a mysterious third force was operating to destabilize the previous Ukrainian government run by President Yanukovych by making it appear responsible for the sniper attacks.
