Shenzhen Metro Line 4 escalator malfunction caused four injuries

Operated by the MTR Corporation from Hong Kong, Shenzhen Metro Line 4 Qinghu Station No. 10 took place latest retrograde escalator malfunction yesterday, resulting at least four people injured.

The incident occurred on July 10 at the Shenzhen Metro Line 4 Qing Hu Station Exit B. At about 21:00, one escalator move to the one third of the whole distances and suddenly turned down, causing passengers fall to the ground. Witnesses said one female passenger were seriously injured. This time, the elevator’s is a French brand CNIM,the world’s largest public transportation equipment manufacturers. After Beijing Zoo Metro station escalator retrograde accident, Shenzhen has stopped using the  all the Otis brand elevators.  MTR Corporation, which is responsible for operating the Shenzhen Metro Line 4 of also said in July 5th, that all the escalators have gone through Government inspection, testing and protection so there would be no security problems.
