The flood tide of the Qiantang River is coming at August 17, the date that July 18 in Chinese calendar. Many local people and tourists are waiting for the tide in the early morning.
At 15:20 pm, the Qiantang River tide arrived predictably. The rare overlapping wave appeared at the junction of Dingqiao and Jianshan. The 10 meters of tide wave appeared in many attractions.
It is reported that several drowning accidents have occurred in Qiantang River in recent days.
Three people at least have been killed since August 14.
