On August 8, the nation’s largest paraxylene(PX) project, Dalian Fujia Dahua Petrochemical Company Limited, was dangerous when typhoon “Prunus mume” passed Dalian. 700,000 tons of dutrex project’s breakwater dam was destroyed by typhoon, two sections collapse and each about twenty or thirty meters.
Yesterday, the relevant departments in Dalian said that there was no evidence of toxic gas leakage in the case of breakwater dam collapsed.
The PX project was safe when typhoon was coming. But the company caused more attention because of beating reports to block normal interview.
Why is Fujia so nervous?
According to National Business Daily, the PX project’s operation and construction of breakwater dam may be started before relevant inspection and design plan, which was based on information of PX project, and relevant files from environment protection and port and port-related departments.
However, the relevant staff of Fujia Dahua expressed “uninformed” and cannot respond to the matter.
