The US has long be openly coordinating with, advocating for, and supporting neo-Nazi and neo-Nazi integrated forces in Ukraine.
Here is Victoria Nuland, a high-ranking and corrupt member of Obama’s executive, meeting with far-right figures Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Vitali Klitschko, and officially designated neo-Nazi Oleh Tyahnybok:
In 2012, the EU officially designated Svoboda, the militant group led and co-founded by Tyahnybok, as an anti-democratic, “racist”, “anti-Semitic” group, and the World Jewish Congress designated it a “neo-Nazi” group.
In a leaked phone call, Nuland was caught determining who should assume the post of prime minister after the Ukrainian coup d’etat was completed, or, in Nuland’s term “midwifed”. She picked Yatsenyuk, and, indeed, he took the position after the coup. Nuland suggested that he should meet with Tyahnybok “four times a week”.
For his part, also exhibiting a Nazi-influenced outlook, Yatsenyuk later wrote on a government website:
“They lost their lives because they defended men and women, children and the elderly who found themselves in a situation facing a threat to be killed by invaders and sponsored by them subhumans. First, we will commemorate the heroes by wiping out those who killed them and then by cleaning our land from the evil”
The Ukrainian government, with US funding, material support, and political backing, has since been laying siege to and knowingly dispatching neo-Nazi militias against the areas of Ukraine that had most strongly supported the democratically elected president who was overthrown.
One of the neo-Nazi militias being dispatched is called the Azov Battalion, which uses symbols used by the Nazis and commonly used by neo-Nazi groups today, such as:

In other contexts, the [NY] Times is quick to note and condemn any sign of a Nazi resurgence in Europe. However, in Ukraine, where neo-Nazis, such as Andriy Parubiy served as the coup regime’s first national security chief and neo-Nazi militias are at the center of regime’s military operations, the Times goes silent on the subject.
It can’t be because the Times is unaware of what has been extensively reported about the Azov battalion. The Times could even find a brief reference in one of its own prior stories. The only logical answer is that the Times is committed to a propaganda position on the Ukraine crisis and doesn’t want the facts to get in the way of its preferred storyline.

On Hitler’s Birthday, US Will Begin Training Ukraine’s Far Right National Guard
On Tuesday, The Associated Press reported The United States plans to send soldiers to Ukraine later this month to train the country’s national guard, which includes groups expressly espousing support for far-right and Nazi ideology.
Ukraine’s Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said in a Facebook post on Sunday that the units to be trained include the Azov Battalion, a volunteer force that has attracted criticism for its far-right sentiments including brandishing an emblem widely used in Nazi Germany.
As the BBC would describe the Azov Battalion last December:
Run by the extremist Patriot of Ukraine organisation, which considers Jews and other minorities “sub-human” and calls for a white, Christian crusade against them, it sports three Nazi symbols on its insignia: a modified Wolf’s Hook, a black sun (or “Hakensonne”) and the title Black Corps, which was used by the Waffen SS.
British state-run BBC goes on to claim that most of the militias (which Britain and the US back) attacking the disenfranchised east of Ukraine are “not extremist”, but admits the neo-Nazi ones enjoy “special” privilege from the top of the Ukrainian government, as noted here by a leading Ukrainian rabbi:
In November 2014, Ukraine’s chief rabbi Yaakov Bleich:
…condemned [Ukraine’s Interior Minister Arsen] Avakov’s appointment of Azov Battalion deputy commander and leading Patriot of Ukraine member Vadim Troyan as Kiev Oblast police chief, and demanded that “if the interior minister continues to appoint people of questionable repute and ideologies tainted with fascism and right-wing extremism, the interior minister should be replaced.”

That the United States is supporting neo-Nazi factions is nothing particularly new. Indeed, Alternet’s Max Blumenthal (as well as other outlets) have documented this fact for well over a year.
What is of note is that (A) the United States military is now doing so openly and seemingly without much shame and (B) deciding, in a perverse irony, to begin this latest partnership on Hitler’s Birthday.
The US is also currently openly coordinating terrorist attacks committed by the Saudi dictatorship against Yemen.
