China enacts further culture reform

The Chinese government is determined to push forward cultural industry reform in the coming years, as announced at a press conference Monday.

According to Sun Zhijun, Vice Minister of Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, many sectors within China’s cultural industry have successfully completed systemic transformation during the past five years. Fiscal investment poured onto the cultural industry has grown remarkably.

It has reached 153 billion yuan in 2010. As for the next five years, Sun underlined the importance of stimulating creation and outlining a general guideline of cultural system reform.
