Families of the 36 victims of a high-speed train crash have agreed to accept government compensation, authorities announced.
The family of each victim will receive 915,000 yuan ($143,000), almost double from original offer of 500,000 yuan, according to a work team in charge of the aftermath of the accident.
A total of 40 people were killed and 192 others were injured on July 23 when a high-speed train rammed into another that had stalled on the railway in Wenzhou.
