Wang Gang, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, made the remarks during a meeting with a FLN delegation.

The delegation, led by Abdelhamid Si Afif, a member of the FLN’s Political Bureau and secretary for Foreign Affairs and Overseas Members Affairs of the FLN, is visiting China from July 7 to 13.

Wang extended his appreciation of the congratulatory message that Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika sent to President Hu Jintao on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the founding of the CPC.

He also praised China-Algeria relations in general, saying that they have withstood the tests of international crises and grown even more vibrant in recent years.

Wang said the CPC and the FLN have always maintained sound cooperation, which has laid a solid political foundation for the development of bilateral ties.

The CPC is willing to boost its cooperation with the FLN on the basis of independence, complete equality, mutual respect and non-interference in each other’s internal affairs, he said.

The CPC hopes to deepen mutual understanding and exchange experience with the FLN regarding state governance, as this will contribute to the reinforcement of bilateral cooperative ties, he added.
