Russian President Vladimir Putin stole the show at Moscow’s Victory Day parade to commemorate 80 years since the defeat of Nazi Germany.

Putin was welcomed at the venue with ‘Russia! Russia!’ chants. He was then spotted getting emotional as he laid flowers at the eternal flame after leading world leader to the Tomb of Unknown Soldier. 

Later at the parade, he was seen comforting war veterans and personally thanking Russian forces for their contributions in the Ukraine war.

He also hugged North Korean soldiers before ending the parade with a speech to world leaders
