Recently US government is pushing again another nakedly imperialist policy in the name of so-called “National Defense Authorization Act.” Once this act is passed at US Congress, “it will allow the US military to attack any ‘associated forces that are engaged in hostilities against the United States’ anywhere in the world.”
Right after 9/11 in 2001, they did essentially a very much same thing by enacting the so-called “Authorization for Use of Military Force.” This was enacted under the pretext US was attacked by “terror acts from outside.”
Since then, the 9/11 has become convenient pretexts for US to wage, in the name of “anti-terrorism,” permanent wars against sovereign nations around the world.
The anti-terrorism as a deceitful replacement of anti-communism has provided convenient justifications for US to use arbitrarily its military aggression against any nation who, not necessarily because it committed terror, but because it dared to challenge “the only global superpower.”
In the name of its “national interests,” the US carries out its military might whenever and wherever it sees it is necessary. As well-known, it is the US who unilaterally decides who should be targeted first, and then how, when they should be destroyed by what sort of “weapons of mass destructions” (WMDs), etc.
Even the New York Times, one of the most influential Western establishment news media in the world, warned “a conflict without end for the US: ‘This wildly expansive authorization would, in essence, make the war on terror a permanent and limitless aspect of life on earth, along with its huge potential for abuse.’”
Will this daylight 21st Century let the world helplessly face again another Hitler-like naked imperialism in the form of global fascism which could well threaten the future of whole humanity?
If and once this “naked imperialism”could not be stopped decisively and properly, if the world sits idle and/or seems NOT DOING ENOUGH, then even much greater degrees of destructions, genocides, and/or annihilations than that of Nazi fascism might sooner or later arrive, as if it is surreal.
