Gangster State US/UK, Police State, Too!

On July 23 I wrote about how the US reversed roles with the USSR and became the tyrant that terrifies the world. We have now had further confirmation of that fact. It comes from two extraordinary actions by Washington’s British puppet state. David Miranda, the Brazilian partner of Glenn Greenwald, who is reporting on the illegal and unconstitutional spying by the National Stasi Agency, was seized, no doubt on Washington’s orders, by the puppet British government from the international transit zone of a London airport. Miranda had not entered the UK, but he was seized by UK authorities. http://rt.com/op-edge/uk-gay-greenwald-freedom-police-679/ Washington’s UK puppets simply kidnapped him, threatened him for nine hours, and stole his computer, phones, and all his electronic equipment.

YOU WON’T BELIEVE What’s Going On with Government Spying on Americans

New Revelations Are Breaking Every Day Revelations about the breathtaking scope of government spying are coming so fast that it’s time for an updated roundup: Just weeks after NSA boss Alexander said that a review of NSA spying found not even one violation, the Washington Post published an internal NSA audit showing that the agency has broken its own rules thousands of times each year Each violation could have resulted in many Americans being spied upon. The ACLU notes, “some of these incidents seem to have implicated the privacy of thousands or millions of innocent people”

Fukushima: TEPCO Says It DOES NOT KNOW HOW the Contaminated Water Leaked out or Where It Has Leaked to

Fukushima operator reveals leak of 300 tonnes of highly contaminated water Spillage is most severe since March 2011 as Tepco says it does not know how the water leaked out or where it has leaked to Frantic efforts to contain radioactive leaks at the wrecked Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant have been dealt another blow after its operator said about 300 tonnes of highly contaminated water had seeped out of a storage tank at the site. The leak is the worst such incident since the March 2011 meltdown and is separate from the contaminated water leaks, also of about 300 tonnes a day, reported recently.

Escalation of Attacks on News-gathering Process and Journalism by US-UK Gov’t

Detaining My Partner: A Failed Attempt At Intimidation At 6:30 am this morning my time – 5:30 am on the East Coast of the US – I received a telephone call from someone who identified himself as a “security official at Heathrow airport.” He told me that my partner, David Miranda, had been “detained” at the London airport “under Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act of 2000.” David had spent the last week in Berlin, where he stayed with Laura Poitras, the US filmmaker who has worked with me extensively on the NSA stories. A Brazilian citizen, he was returning to our home in Rio de Janeiro this morning on British Airways, flying first to London and then on to Rio. When he arrived in London this morning, he was detained.

The Blow Killed America 100 Years ago It’s Actually Fast Compared to Romans

The Blow That Killed America 100 Years Ago: A Slow Process But It’s Actually Fast Compared to the Romans “There is a lot of ruin in a nation,” wrote Adam Smith. His point was that it takes a long time for nations to fall, even when they’re dead on their feet. And he was certainly right. America took its fatal blow in 1913, one hundred years ago; it just hasn’t hit the ground yet. This is a slow process, but it’s actually fast compared to the Romans. It took them several centuries to collapse. The confusing thing about our current situation is that America – and by that I mean the noble America that so many of us grew up believing was real – has long been poisoned. Its liver, kidneys, and spleen have all stopped functioning. Its heart beats slowly and irregularly. But it still stands on its feet and presents itself as alive to all those who would let their eyes fool them.

MERcosur Foreign Ministers Issue Alert at UN on Serious Nature of US Espionage

The foreign ministers of the five MERCOSUR member countries came to the United Nations on Monday, August 5 to issue an important warning to the international community. MERCOSUR is the Southern Common Market made up of the countries of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Uruguay and Venezuela. The five Ministers had a meeting with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. The purpose of the meeting was to explain to the Secretary General, their countries’ concern over what they referred to as the “acts of espionage carried out by intelligence agencies of the United States of America which affect all countries in the region.” The Ministers presented Ban Ki Moon with a resolution on this issue passed at the meeting of MERCOSUR on July 12, 2013.(1) After they met with Ban Ki-moon, the five Foreign Ministers held a press conference.

The Fukushima Nightmare Gets WORSE

Just when it seemed things might be under control at Fukushima, we find they are worse than ever. Immeasurably worse. Massive quantities of radioactive liquids are now flowing through the shattered reactor site into the Pacific Ocean. And their make-up is far more lethal than the “mere” tritium that has dominated the headlines to date. Tepco, the owner/operator–and one of the world’s biggest and most technologically advanced electric utilities–has all but admitted it cannot control the situation. Its shoddy performance has prompted former U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissioner Dale Klein to charge: “You don’t what you are doing.” The Japanese government is stepping in. But there is no guarantee–or even likelihood–it will do any better. In fact, there is no certainty as to what’s causing this out-of-control flow of death and destruction.

Fukushima: A Nuclear War w/out a War

The World is at a critical crossroads. The Fukushima disaster in Japan has brought to the forefront the dangers of Worldwide nuclear radiation. The crisis in Japan has been described as “a nuclear war without a war”. In the words of renowned novelist Haruki Murakami: “This time no one dropped a bomb on us … We set the stage, we committed the crime with our own hands, we are destroying our own lands, and we are destroying our own lives.” Nuclear radiation –which threatens life on planet earth– is not front page news in comparison to the most insignificant issues of public concern, including the local level crime scene or the tabloid gossip reports on Hollywood celebrities. While the long-term repercussions of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster are yet to be fully assessed, they are far more serious than those pertaining to the 1986 Chernobyl disaster in the Ukraine, which resulted in almost one million deaths (New Book Concludes – Chernobyl death toll: 985,000, mostly from cancer Global Research, September 10, 2010, See also Matthew Penney and Mark Selden The Severity of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Disaster: Comparing Chernobyl and Fukushima, Global Research, May 25, 2011)

Humanity Is Drowning In Washington’s Criminality: “Aggressive Military State”

Americans will soon be locked into an unaccountable police state unless US Representatives and Senators find the courage to ask questions and to sanction the executive branch officials who break the law, violate the Constitution, withhold information from Congress, and give false information about their crimes against law, the Constitution, the American people and those in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Somalia, Guantanamo, and elsewhere. Congress needs to use the impeachment power that the Constitution provides and cease being subservient to the lawless executive branch. The US faces no threat that justifies the lawlessness and abuse of police powers that characterize the executive branch in the 21st century.

America’s Descent Into Madness, full of Cruelty, Deceit, Lies, Demonize Victims

America has entered one of its periods of historical madness, but this is the worst I can remember: worse than McCarthyism, worse than the Bay of Pigs and in the long term potentially more disastrous than the Vietnam War. – John le Carré America is descending into madness. The stories it now tells are filled with cruelty, deceit, lies, and legitimate all manner of corruption and mayhem. The mainstream media spins stories that are largely racist, violent, and irresponsible —stories that celebrate power and demonize victims, all the while camouflaging its pedagogical influence under the cheap veneer of entertainment.
