New Afghanistan: Foundations Of Becoming & Attractiveness

Two main points should be singled out that require their solution on Afghan soil after, so to speak, the legacy that the United States left here to detonate future large-scale conflicts.

In connection with the main international events, the topic of Afghanistan began to disappear from this spectrum.  At least this country has not been on the top of world news for many months.

Such inattention to the Afghan theme may turn into yet another problem for regional and geopolitical security.

The prevention of these problems is becoming one of the main tasks not only of the states neighboring Afghanistan, but also of responsible members of the entire world community.

Two main points should be singled out that require their solution on Afghan soil after, so to speak, the legacy that the United States left here to detonate future large-scale conflicts.

The first such problem is still the desire of the United States and NATO countries to relieve themselves of responsibility for the political and socio-economic consequences that were provoked by the withdrawal of the Western coalition from Afghanistan.

On this long-suffering land, one of the fundamental principles of Washington’s foreign policy worked, working for the actual destruction of each state after the withdrawal of the American military contingent from there.

Afghanistan was subjected to the same template formatting, when, as a result of US and NATO military operations, states become incapable of restoring the national economy on their own and are left to their fate.

However, the international community, having in mind its most responsible members, including within the UN, has no right to allow the scenario of the economic destruction of Afghanistan and the further escalation of the humanitarian crisis, which will then turn into a destructive political one.

At the same time, as planned by the same West, at least the Afghan geographical neighbors, and at most China and Russia, should again fall into the orbit of the crisis.

In the current situation, Washington will shift the responsibility for the reconstruction of Afghanistan to Russia and China, which, assessing such prospects, should now make efforts to prevent a new destructive Afghan wave.

This requires not only humanitarian measures to support the population of Afghanistan, although they are of paramount importance.

The second point should also become the basis of the foundations: the creation of a code of laws of the country, starting with a new constitution of the state, which will create legal guarantees for both Kabul itself and its partners who are ready to take on the hard work of jointly rebuilding the country after two decades of American “charity”.

One of the positive factors in this regard is the initial desire of the Taliban leadership to follow the path of state building, which can be compared with such systems that combine secular and religious forms of regulation of public life as in Iran, Pakistan, Syria, Lebanon, and the United Arab Emirates.

This step, among other things, will fully comply with the initial requirements of the leading world powers for the Taliban to form an inclusive government.

This will create prerequisites for the launch and development of natural internal political processes, the basic principles of which should be systematized in the constitution.

In general, the development by the authorities of a new basic law will be a major step towards the international recognition of Afghanistan as a single, independent and neutral state.

At the same time, it should be understood that interrupting the operation of the previous Afghan constitution, which ensures the existence of a republican form of government and the basic democratic principles that follow from this, is a significant political mistake by the new leadership of the country, working against itself and causing a negative reaction in the external sphere.

The Taliban should become real politicians, with the prospect of recognition at a wide international level, since they have taken on such a big responsibility.

It is impossible not to mention what hinders the achievement of such a goal.

Sharia norms introduced by the Taliban, even if they correspond to national traditions, do not find the support of the population and the international community, which accuses the authorities of non-compliance with basic universal and democratic values.

The political leadership of the Taliban must find a balance between national traditions and the modern realities of the world, which will allow it to emerge from international isolation.  Otherwise, you won’t be able to do this.

The examples of the state structure of the UAE, Libya and other countries show how this can be achieved in practice without any damage to political interests and ethnic norms.

The new Afghanistan, of course, can create its own, special formula of internal and external harmony, but this is precisely what it will be of interest to everyone, including foreign tourists.

Afghanistan is significantly late with the adoption of basic laws, which automatically slows down not only foreign investment in this country, not only the growth of its economy, but also a change in its negative image that has developed in the outside world.

In particular, one of the latest news that went around the press around the world was the message that the Taliban government again obliged women to wear in public places not only the hijab, but also the veil, which completely hides the body.

Thus, it is emphasized in the world media, the Taliban are striving for the previous policy, which restricts the rights of a significant part of the local population.

The Taliban’s picture is that on this simple basis, the West will again declare the country a territory of evil, with the corresponding practical conclusions.

And the Taliban themselves, who have barely embarked on the path of peaceful development and international recognition, should not make even the slightest mistakes and political oversights that can become a formal reason for tomorrow’s shake-up of the country.

Observers remember how not long ago, after the departure of the Americans, the Taliban government concentrated the hopes of many countries on itself when it made it clear that it had taken into account all the mistakes of the past.

But now these hopes should be reinforced in practice, in real social and socio-economic life.

Through progressive laws and measures, starting with the constitution, the Taliban will securely separate themselves from the various terrorist groups, including ISIS, so that they will never again be mixed with them in the minds of the world community.

Another reliable measure for the formation of the state image of the Taliban movement can be reforms in the economic sphere, which will give rise to local entrepreneurship and business, which in itself will demonstrate to the world the cardinal changes in Afghanistan.

It is difficult to give advice to Afghans from the outside, but one of the most striking measures to form a new image of the country can be the promotion of the new Afghan culture abroad.

Taking into account the fact that the language of culture of any country is the fastest and most understandable means of communication abroad.

It is expedient for the Taliban government to take into account the whole range of measures, starting with the adoption of a new constitution, without which the reliable formation of the state on Afghan soil in the current geopolitical conditions is inconceivable.
