According to Securities Daily, the fried chicken of KFC used oil for too long. They change oil once in few days. It’s bad for food.
Last night, KFC issued a statement and denied the Securities Daily’s report. KFC said that all the oil will be tested before using. The cooking oil fully comply with China’s law.
KFC also responded that they have a strict requirement to oil used every day. They will filter the cooking oil to removal of food residue, reducing the effect of food residue to the oil. At the same time, they will monitor the chemical composition by special test strips. If the result is approaching the limits, it will immediately be discarded.
According to a manager of a KFC store, KFC required each store for testing the oil every morning and every night and record the duration of the use of cooking oil. He also took out the strip for the detection and the color paper for contrast.
But when the report asked to him that what would be test in the oil, the manager said no.
No matter in interview or in introduction or the statement of KFC, they constantly stressed that the length of the use of cooking oil is no matter with the health of food, as long as within standard.
But experts said if the safe oil high frequency used, it maybe have some impact to health.
