Pakistani president in Japan

The President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari begins a three-day visit to Japan,  Monday, on the invitation of Japanese  Prime Minister Naoto Kan.

 Zardari and Kan will hold talks aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations. Zardari  is also scheduled to meet with some Japanese cabinet members, Parliamentarians as well as  leading Japanese business persons.

According to People’s Daily newspaper, the meeting between the Pakistani leader and Japanese  Business persons will open doors to future Japanese investments in Pakistan.

Some sources also said that during the visit both Leaders will discuss salient issues affecting the national, regional and international scenes.  

Pakistan's President Zardari

Japan has played a major role in the development of Pakistan. Japan is currently extending assistance for the development of health, education and Human resource development projects.

The visit is the second by Zardari, as the president of Pakistan . The first visit was in 2009.
